So beautiful and timely. I just shared this with my brother and also my former professor turned friend, and they both grabbed hold of the beautiful encouragement. My brother even said it was "right on time, someone I know needs to hear this." Ripples of His love and mercy flowing through the earth.🥹🙌🏽🤍. Love and blessings to you Susan.
Yes! Beautiful, comforting word from God. I was going on a long road trip last summer by myself with my little, 13 year old dog. As the time approached to leave, I was getting nervous and angry at my impulsive “yes, I’ll come” response to the invitation. I was telling a sister in Christ about my apprehension and she said to me, “Penny, don’t worry. You don’t go alone. God will go with you. He will be with you the whole time.” I felt so much better. I knew it was true. That’s not to say though that I would ever do something like this again! I’m much more joyful and peaceful at home with the Lord than traveling through the vast wilderness of Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Idaho.
Thirty years ago, we used a series of cassette tapes, “GT and the Halo Express” which put a number of Bible verses to song to help children memorize key verses. We played these cassettes repeatedly, so that even my wife and I committed a number of verses to memory. Isaiah 41:10 was one of those verses. I can’t count the number of times over the last 30 years that this verse has been a strong comfort in a challenging time!
That’s wonderful, Chuck. I find so much comfort in that verse, too. I like the series of Scripture lullabies called Hidden in My Heart. These set verses to soothing music and bless me so much.

I’m so thankful for how God encourages hearts. Appreciate you telling me.
We are not alone in the invisible - we have God and that is comforting. But sometimes, too often, in the visible world, the alone -ness is very hard.
I understand. Praying for you.

Wonderful example, Penny. It’s so comforting that He goes with us and His Presence strengthens us. Thanks for sharing this very real example.
