The idea of a six word memoir is simply beautiful. Thank you for sharing these encouraging verses that remind me of the goodness of God. I'm alive and thriving because of Him.
You’re welcome. I would say the same. Grateful to be alive and thriving because of Him. Apart from Him I would be a mess! God bless you, dear brother. His Word is living and active.
Part of a speech I am giving relates to sevens as seen in Scripture. Your comment about a six-word memoir has spurred me on to a seven-word challenge for myself and for the ladies. Did you know the first sentence in the Hebrew Bible has seven words? The sevens throughout Scripture have captivated me.
So, thank you for the six-word challenge with your blue heron! Blessings!
Oh, great point. Is that Genesis 1:1? The number seven in Scripture represents completeness and fullness? Another example of His intricate creativity and wisdom.
Yes, Genesis 1:1. The Russian mathematician, Ivan Panin, did a very thorough study of biblical numerics. He researched in Hebrew and Greek. What he did without computer help is remarkable. It encourages me to recognize the Designer.
"In all things, he sought God." That pretty much sums it up for me. :)
I enjoyed your pictures of the heron, among other things in this post. My in-laws have a house on Duck Lack in Ocean Shores, WA, and when we visit there in the summer my son and I like to take kayaks out around the islands in the middle of the lake. Blue heron commonly nest there and hang out in the morning sun. They can be a bit camouflaged in the trees, so we like to count them as we go. Often their numbers are in the teens, but a few years ago we counted 49!
Thank you for your great article. I will take it with me into the night, and when I wake up tomorrow, I will think about certain parts of your article. Very beautiful.
I’ve done six word memoir before. It seems to change, which is good I suppose.
Today it reads…
She continued on, her past dimmer.
Oh, very encouraging and hopeful. Yes, I think as He heals and transforms us, our stories change as we grow.
She softened her heart and waited.
Oooh. Lovely.

Fascinating. I agree…His Word and all of creation reflect such incredible brilliance.

So glad to hear it blessed you, Rita. With love from Oregon, dear sister.
I love your six word memoir, Susan! It's not an easy thing to do!
Thanks, Ruhie.
Inspiration dawned; innovation and invention followed.
Love this, Joyce!
