Lovely write up which is encouraging and calming at the same time. Your experience at the vineyard and John 15 is a perfect match for what the Father does. It is in one way sobering. Made me think about my spiritual life and what kind of fruit I'm producing. Thank you, Susan.

Here is something I learned last year. God is ready to commune with us anytime. It is us - who are so busy all the time. We need to look out for people who get in touch with us every day. Each of them is a precious soul who needs salvation. A silent prayer and a willing heart should keep us ready. If God opens the door, simply go in and share the Good News. Who knows? Another soul could be added to the Kingdom of God the same day!

Vijaya, Thanks for this thoughtful response. I always appreciate you. You’re very welcome. I agree…I, too, want to think about what kind of fruit I am producing. I also want to be ready to give account for the hope within me. You said that so well. May God use our lives for His loving purposes, so others might know Christ as well.

Susan, my word for the year is “Resilience,” and I have had my eyes and ears on the lookout for Godly heroes to look up to. I am adding you to my list. Your perspective and attitude and so inspiring to me, and your post is a gift to me. Thank you for what you shared about our Vine, and about how he is the one who lifts us, sustains us, prunes us, cares for us. Your post also made me realize I need to grab my old journals and share some things from there. It’s so interesting to see excerpt from the past “us,” and then share our ‘now’ perspective. That’s such an impactful part of storytelling. Bless you my new friend and sister! Looking forward to reading more of your publications. ❤️

Kim, I can’t thank you enough for your sweet words of encouragement. I think often about resilience. I am thanking God that this post was a blessing to you.

I have been drawing from old journals often recently because as you said, it is a fun way to see how we’ve grown and to recall His faithfulness and sustaining hand. I look forward to getting to know you! I am delighted to make a new friend and sister, and I thank you for writing!!

What a lovely setting. And your encounter with the server was certainly a divine appointment. We live in an area surrounded by vineyards. This time of year the vines are pruned back to almost nothing. Yet, come spring and the branches and leaves return, and then late summer the sweet fruit.

Nice that you live in an area surrounded by vineyards. I remember when I was young, there werne't many vineyards in our area, but now there are many. I love the view from this hilltop vineyard. God bless you, Karen.

Oh, dear brother, I loved reading these words. Thank you. Sharing the background in Psalm 80 adds such a richness to this interaction. Thanks for this encouraging comment.
