We live in a world where restlessness seems more common than real peace. Maybe you’re longing for peace, for deep, refreshing sleep, but these things remain elusive.
You won’t sleep better by scrolling mindlessly in the evenings. The virtual world offers a mirage, but nothing to quench your real thirst or your longing for lasting peace.
So, set aside your devices and come to the One who can renew your mind and fill your heart with genuine peace.
Tell Him what’s on your heart. Thank Him for all He has done.
1 Peter 5:7 (NIV) invites us to “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
REFUGE AND SHELTER
Psalm 91:9-11 (NLT)
“If you make the LORD your refuge,
if you make the Most High your shelter,
no evil will conquer you;
no plague will come near your home.
For he will order his angels
to protect you wherever you go.”
PRINCE OF PEACE
Isaiah 9:6-7a
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government will be upon His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. / Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish and sustain it with justice and righteousness from that time and forevermore.
Romans 5:1
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ…
Colossians 1:20-22
and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through the blood of His cross. / Once you were alienated from God and were hostile in your minds, engaging in evil deeds. / But now He has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy, unblemished, and blameless in His presence—
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled; do not be afraid.
I took these pictures while watching geese with their goslings on Cinnamon Lakes when I lived in my condo. Some of the images are more clear than others, but I still enjoy looking at these old photos.
Nature reminds us of our Creator, our true source of peace.
